Today is my last full day on the island of Bali before I get a ferry tomorrow to Nusa Penida. This is a smaller island off the South East of Bali.
The morning started with a nice lie in after the long day and minimal sleep yesterday it was so required.
This afternoon Danny and I headed to the Tegalalang rice fields. These fields were absolutely beautiful.
Also couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to try out the famous Bali swings that were here...
Second stop was to the Tirta Empul Temple. This is a Hindu Balinese Water temple. Built around 962AD on a water spring this temple features a temple pond which is fed by a spring believed to be holy water. Many Hindus come here for ritual purification. The temple itself was very beautiful with ponds of fishes and some gorgeous architecture.
The last stop of the day was a waterfall which had been suggested to us by our hostel owner. It is known for being a lot less popular with tourists but very beautiful. It was called Kanto Lampo and boy did it not disappoint. These beautiful cascading falls were hidden within the jungle. The water was really refreshing and overall the perfect end to my stay in Ubud.
