So today is my last full day in India. I cannot tell you how sad I am that this day has come! I have loved India and have met some truly amazing people. India is a developing country which is full of the most beautiful architecture, art and people. I will be flying to Sri Lanka tomorrow via Delhi so tomorrow’s post will be dedicated to what India has taught me.
I woke up this morning and discovered that I had a visitor in my room last night. I couldn’t see them but they quite literally left their mark. Great.
For my final day I had the absolute privilege of spending it with Yaz and Soph. After yesterday’s disappointment of the green swimming pool we ventured out to Colva beach today. Boy I am so glad that we did this. We had the best day sipping on drinks, eating great food and just generally relaxing.

The beach itself is so beautiful and had a line of little shacks
with sun beds out the front.
We literally got waited on hand and foot and only moved to go into the sea of select our ice cream. The ice cream I selected was a butterscotch cornetto which is not something I had tried before but was absolutely delicious!

Despite the fact that I was sitting under an umbrella all day and was wearing my factor 50 I still managed to get sunburnt. But hey, what did I expect being a fair skinned ginger in a hot climate! It was inevitable.

We had arranged with our hotel for a cab to pick us up at 6 so we went to the designated meeting spot at 5:55 to find no cab. Over the last two weeks we had become accustomed to ‘Indian Stretchable Time’ (everything always takes time and is usually not on time) we decided to perch and just wait for the cab. After 20 minutes I got impatient and called the hotel who advised it would be about 30 minutes... of course. However by this point the sun was setting and we still were having a good time.
I have had an amazing chilled few days in Goa and have loved both the beaches we visited. I would highly recommend but I would just advise use suncream and deet at all times...
