Day 122 & 123 I am the luckiest girl in the world

Day 122

So today was another chill day. I rented a bicycle and cycled around the island. On my journey I noticed about 40 goats chilling on the beach.

Apart from this I literally spent the whole day sitting on the beach and the evening at the bar. It was awesome

I absolutely refuse to believe anyone who disagrees that I am the luckiest human on this planet.

I started diving today. My first dive was at Deep Turbo. This dive site was about 20m deep and had some insane currant. It washed us along and we barely had to move. This is where I saw my first turtle in Gili T. It was an incredible dive site with a tonne of coral and so many fish. It was so beautiful.

My second dive of the day was even better than the first. We went to shark point where again there was hectic currant. I did however see two sharks, one black tip reef shark from about 15m away which was about 1.5m long. The second shark was a little baby white tip reef shark. They were stunning. I also saw 5 turtles. These are such magical creatures. They are

incredibly calm, majestic and just an absolute honour to be in the vicinity of.

This was a magical day that I will for sure remember forever!

An Update

Things over the last week have developed and happened really quickly. I am still trying to process how I feel. I will get round to calling everyone and talking to everyone but right now I am selfishly putting myself and my well-being (both mentally and physically first). On Tuesday I was informed I no longer had my job in Australia. This was the start of the collapse of my dream. A lot of people were in the same position and with the job market in Australia becoming more and more dire each day, thousands of people including Australians loosing their jobs, businesses shutting left right and centre as well as the daily reports that flights out of Australia were shutting down I was left with one option. I had to leave. At the time this did not feel like a choice. I knew I didn’t have the financial ability to support myself for the next 6 months, which is potentially how long it would have taken to restore any normality. Bikinis, boat parties and first dates! 27.01.20- 02.02.20

In my effort to keep people updated more with my life I am going to try and write at least one post a week. No promises but here is my summary of the last week! Monday was a public holiday here in Australia which could mean only one thing... brunch and a day at the beach! Amanda and I decided to head on the ferry to Watson’s bay! Shamefully this is the first time that I had been on the ferry! It was absolutely beautiful seeing the city from the boat. The Sydney skyline is actually pretty spectacular. We arrived at Watson bay and headed to the Watson bay hotel for a spot of brunch. It was delicious. Obviously it would not be brunch without cocktails. It was a day of sitting on the beach and soaking up the sun. Whilst we were there I had a hinge message. Day 2- Don’t look the moneys in the eyes

An early train this morning meant a 5:30 wake up call. Feeling very groggy and tired we caught the train from Delhi to Agra. The train was pretty comfortable and actually on time! Due to the nippy morning even my bobble hat got some use! On the train we were served a breakfast which consisted of a biscuit, some vegetable croquet (we didn’t know the name of these however this is as similar as it gets back home). We also got some bread and lemon juice. It was basic but it filled the hole. The first stop in Agra was the Agra Fort. This was built in the late 1500s and is pretty substantial in size coming in at around 94 acres. The fort has been home to many emperors until 1638 when the capital of India moved from Agra to Delhi. It is absolutely beautiful with loads of detailed carvings and incredible architecture. It also had some pretty superb views of the Taj Mahal. We even spotted a monkey too!
