This morning was a 4:30am start to go on a 6 mile hike in Hornton Plains National Park. I have been really enjoying the hikes that I have done so far and this was no exception. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The second landmark was worlds end. This is a stunning escarpment which plunges 880m. The view up here of the surrounding green and mountains was again absolutely stunning.
The final landmark on the hike was Bakers Falls. This was probably my standout favourite part of the hike. The beautiful natural waterfall was just absolutely amazing. It was everything I had hoped for and more!
In the afternoon we took the famous train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. This train journey passes over the Nine Arch Bridge (pictures tomorrow). It was pretty packed!
