Day 113 & 114- Goodbye Singapore and Hello Bali!

Day 113 Today was the day that I leave Singapore. I must admit although I have had a good time in Singapore my feelings are a bit mixed. If you had asked me last year what my ideal city would be I would have listed the following; Clean Organised Efficient  Quiet Safe Rule abiding Structured Now Singapore was all of the above however I think my ideal city has changed. It was almost too clean, too organised, too many rules and I have missed the feeling of disorganised chaos that Asia has so far provided. It is a beautiful city    and there are loads of activities but it almost feels a bit fake. Everything feels magnified just for the sake of being magnified. It feels like the image of Singapore being a wealthy place is so important to the country. It is a new country and you can tell. The only older architecture is from the time of colonialism.   Singapore is like a cleaner version of London. As I said above I really did have a good time. I enjoyed sp...

Day 112- Orchids, a cow on a bike, friendship, great food and a massive Ferris Wheel 🎡

So after a busy few days in Singapore today was a slower start. The day started with another recommendation from Nor, Two Men Bagel House. Eva and I both ordered the B.O.C.A bagel which had avocado, egg, tomato and feta cheese. It was absolutely delicious. Avocado is one of the few foods that you just don’t find much of in Asia. When I was in Taman Negara my guide for the trek was actually puzzled as to why people in the West eat it. But it really was a delicious treat. After this I went to the botanical gardens. This was really beautiful. Lots of green open space and not a skyscraper in sight. They also had an orchid garden. I love orchids. In a weird way they remind me of home because my dad is a huge fan and we always have a collection around the house. They were stunning. So many colours and variations. This was actually my favourite thing that i have done in Singapore. It was just so beautiful.  After this I ...

Day 111- Anyone for a Singapore Sling?

Today was another busy day in Singapore! It started at the art science museum. They currently have two exhibitions on, one being the Future World Exhibition and the other being Alice in Wonderland. Anyone who knows me knows I love Alice in wonderland so this was an absolute dream. The exhibition had costumes and scripts from the film as well as an interesting take on the famous tea party, it was awesome. The future world exhibition also did not disappoint. This was an interactive exhibition with some really awesome digital installations.  After this we had a browse around the mall attached to the marina bay sands hotel (this was incredible and filled with so many high end really beautiful shops).  The food court at the mall was also pretty good with loads of options and we enjoyed a feast!  After eating ourselves silly we fancied a drink. Where better than the Ce La Vi bar which is on the very top of the Mari...
